Therapy 101
If you've never been to therapy before it can be intimidating getting started. Check out the info below to get a better idea of the process and what to expect next.
Step 1 - The Consult
Send me an email to set up a 15 minute consult. You can fill me in on why you are looking for therapy and we can see if I might be a good fit to help you reach your goals.
Step 2 - The Intake
If we agree that I might be a good fit for what you're looking for we'll schedule an intake. The intake is also known as a psychosocial assessment. This helps me get to know your family history, the struggles you're having, the supports you've got, and a whole lot more.
Step 3 - The Sessions
Based on your mental health needs we'll schedule sessions weekly or every other week. We'll lay out a plan for treatment and identify some of your major goals.
